What is a historic preservation commission?A historic preservation commission deals with the built environment. It seeks to locate and document the significance of buildings. Parks, road, sculpture, and prehistoric and historic archaeological sites are of interest to the historic preservation commission as well. The historic preservation program is administered by unpaid volunteers.
